would be nice - heck, i'm sure that one of the main reasons that they seem to be falling to bits is that they're bloody old. (admittedly, not as bloody old as we are. why aren't we falling to bits?)

OK, so here's my question.

What kind of "foam" can damage a tile that can withstand the heat and pressure of reentry?

When I think foam I think light and fluffy. Such as "How much foam would you like on your latte?" or foam rubber.
