ironymaideni was literally out of bed for about 15 minutes until 4:30 today. sleep. eat something. read some S&M soft porn masquerading as fantasy (Kushiel's Dart). masturbate. sleep. i then rose, ate two giant bowls of salad, showered, took the bus downtown, ran into Nina (who has a framed picture that's been waiting for us since December) and had a breve and a big diet coke to keep me upright.
we finally (yeah, i know it isn't actually open yet) saw Shaun of the Dead tonight. it is fucking deadly. it's not so much the zombies as the well-written relationships. and the reality of being a 29-year-old in a dead end job. the soccer ball made me scream. and there's Queen featured in the soundtrack. so everyone should see it.
being out of the world for a day-and-a-half has been a little odd. one realizes just how much we expect the electronic network to keep connecting us.
