another day

C is sick, and our new doctor's office can't see him until Monday. :( he has a particular charm when he is sick; he's so grateful for anything i do for him and he mostly wants to snuggle up to me and be petted absently.
i have propped him up in bed with all the pillows, his laptop, and hot buttered rum. i stayed home from rehearsal and coddled him while leveling up my ranger (and adapting to 3.5, dammit) using a Java widget called PCGen. i appreciate having something to do math and deal with all the stats interacting, but i generally find choosing from lists on the computer to be much less pleasurable than flipping through a book. still, it keeps track of how many skill points i have left and GP spent, which i never enjoyed.
work was busy and strange and filled with missing paperwork and denials. we're expanding into the first floor, and i seem to be the only one who is finished moving. in return, my computer keeps disconnecting from the network...every day i go to work i love my mac a little more.
i feel drained and i hope i'm not getting his thing. it would be hard not to, i suppose.
