so every time i get adjusted, i get high. of course, i get high from eating sushi. i also get high on a double breve. i'm glad everything that gives me a buzz is relatively cheap and legal. C is giving me tidbits from the Book of Erotic Fantasy as i write...listing off feats. i'm thoroughly amused by sustained sex giving you a +2 Wisdom. hummph. self-perceived wisdom. i am officially addicted to Papa Murphy's Thin Crust DeLite pizza. picked up books for Dad for his birthday; i hope to be organized enough to mail them tomorrow. Mom gave me some titles he was interested in.. the name eludes me, but Jeff Schaara has written a couple books about the Revolution in the vein of The Killer Angels. i thought i would pick something else up for him that was completely different, but i discovered that the things i would have introduced him to weren't in the store. as much as the trend to series annoys me, the way stores tend to stock the new book and no copies of the first book is even more frustrating. so he's getting the McCullough John Adams. i have a soft spot for Adams and his voluble correspondence with his wife. back in the dark ages before email, C and i wrote each other every day we were separated. the discipline of setting pen to paper is one that i love, and i can get caught up in rereading them. i should scan them soon...his are all in pencil and fading. i don't want multimedia on the internet to get too easy. i like to write down my thoughts, and i like to see other people do it too. i wonder if email and blogging will bring back the epistolary novel? maybe in the form of chat logs? i have this damn charity fashion show thing Saturday. it's gone from being an hour of my time to showing up at 10:30 and staying through the luncheon and then doing the runway. it's actually kind of fun, but i really didn't want to spend all day at the WAC with a bunch of Catholic ladies. at least the food is good. and some of the attendees wear hats. last year i had a silk dress and i spent a deal of time letting ladies touch it. must get tix for Ghostbusters in 70mm.
