there are so few people around here any more, and those who are posting stuff are mostly keeping it AFAICT friends-only, that it's tough to know who to recommend. :-/

(have i mentioned recently how i resent what FB has done to LJ?)

Facebook is the devil and i don't care for Twitter or Tumblr.

But if you think there's someone active who is friends-only and might get on with me, recommend away. The worst that happens is they don't add me back.

looking over my flist, the only two not on yours who are posting regularly are hobbitbabe and therealjae. they're both interesting people IMHO.
