HELLS YEAH! Best day of the festival. Hungarian film about a woman unlucky in love and fascinated with Japan. So of course, she must be kitsune. Set in a fairy tale late 60's world, influenced by both Amelie and the Zucker brothers. It's darkly and sweetly funny and highly stylish with a catchy soundtrack. Is she evil? Will she ever be happy? Truly delightful. I want to buy this one on DVD.

I miss film fest time. Working the FL Film Fest was a big part of my college experience. I'm still sad that work schedules never let me take as much advantage of SIFF as I would have liked. Now I have a more flexible job and next year my vacation allowance increases but I'm no longer in Seattle. Bah! Perhaps the library job gods will be kind to Zach and we'll make our way back.
