I think I liked Age of Ultron, and would like to see it again in order to absorb more of the dialogue.

I saw it in the most civilized way: reserved seats at the Cinerama, with espresso stout and chocolate popcorn. Afterwards, the mob (all kindly organized by Knitta D) adjourned to a nearby restaurant for dinner and discussion.

A table of 10, universally exhausted and quiet. D noted that the audience was cheering and clapping for the previews*, but the response at the end of the film was kind of subdued.

Well, my body was pummeled with loud noises and flashes and bangs. And So Much Stuff in so little time.
Once we got some food, we could natter away. In general, choices made were good. Lots of things to like. One thing to hate (which I am trying to convince myself is a scene butchered by vicious editing and not an intentional character choice).

I slept really hard last night, and late this morning. I am inclined to blame the movie. We are getting damn close to blipvert territory.

*To be fair, a bunch of nerds saw Han Solo on the movie screen. And they finally got me interested in Tomorrowland and Ant-Man. I still don't care about Jurassic World.

The toughest thing for me about the movie, frankly, was the opening sequence. On the one hand, it was very much a James Bondian sort of opening--our heroes in the midst of a fight, showing us how their work doesn't end--but I found it hard to follow. Once the fight was over, I was there.

I very much want to see Tomorrowland. Need to learn more about Ant-Man. I'm on the fence about Jurassic World.
