Took an alternate transit route through Little Saigon and First Hill. Made pretty good time, enough to have Wednesday burgers with mimerki at the Deluxe.

In my favorite seat with a praline Ritter Sport bar. This show is on standby. This was previewed and other Fools recommended it.
Sad, subtle story of a young woman wrapping up her life before she takes vows as a nun. Interesting for me because of its setting - Poland around the late 50s.

Age of Uprising: The Legend of Michael Kohlhaas
Went for the Mads Mikkelson, stayed until the end for the Mads Mikkelson. He's awesome. I am too American to truly enjoy a film about a peasant uprising that goes as peasant uprisings do. And the bad guy hurts horses. Fuck that guy. I rate it good enough.

Currently on the magic bus home.

"Ida" was one of those films I wanted to see but scheduling wouldn't allow it. If it returns, I'll see it then.

I wondered about the Kohlhaas film. Thanks for the glimpse.

The subtlety of Ida is particularly great - in an American film there would have been speeches and fights between our heroine and her aunt. Instead, the aunt starts drinking and acting out. It's all very indirect. I think you would appreciate it, but I warn you that it is about two people who are the last of their family.
