also, this porridge is burning my mouth
Dec. 27th, 2010 12:52 pmare we the only adults out there with a full/double bed instead of a queen?
obviously, other people have them because we can still buy sheets. but finding a new full-size bed frame that appeals has been surprisingly tough. (at this point i'm starting to consider custom work but my inner starving artist is flipping out. she has a hard enough time with what the mattress will cost...)

Date: 2010-12-28 02:19 am (UTC)When Mark's back started bothering him -- a lot -- and we looked for a better mattress we discovered we couldn't get an orthopedic mattress, or at least the sort we wanted, in a double.
And that was the point at which we bought a queen.
Sometimes, we go downstairs and sleep on the double bed because in our hearts, that is still "our" bed and the queen in our bedroom with the comfy mattress is an imposter.
But what can you do? The new mattress made a big difference in Mark's back problems.
There seems to some weird notion that bigger is better. It's not.
