only happy when it rains
May. 6th, 2009 08:20 pmi'm mildly ill, therefore i had a rough time getting out of bed and getting rolling this morning. i arrived at the bus stop just after my customary bus had departed. at this point, i could kill another 20 minutes, or just take the available bus that would drop me by the market, a ten to fifteen minute walk from work.
so i took the bus in hand, and then wandered through the rain to the SBC (is it the last one in the city? it feels like it) where the cashier flirted with me so hard she lost track of where we were in the transaction. she was sort of a cross between Tai from QC and
spazzychic :)
then i passed through the main gallery, where the vendors were still setting up. today almost the entire righthand side was full of tulip sellers, crowding out the arts and crafts vendors. a rainy morning is the right time to be there - too early and inclement for the tourists to be packing in.
i smiled the rest of the way to the office, safe under my waterproof hood.
