I'll be sure to remark on as many amazon ranked things as I notice, and given my tastes, that will probably be a great many.

Should that first word be capitalized, in current usage?

i'd say caps don't matter.
there appears to be some desperate corporate handwaving happening this AM. speaking as a knowledge worker, it's no "glitch" when something like this happens. poor implementation, badly considered policy, lack of good QA, rogue worker, sure. glitch? no.
