i saw Jersey Girl tonight.

it is not set in the Askewniverse. the song is not the Tom Waits, but the Springsteen cover.

J-Lo dies, AND it features the best musical of all time. (and no, it's not the one that finally closed but continues to inspire actors on tour to kill themselves)

the diaper-changing jokes are blessedly brief.

i'm not sure how i feel about seeing two movies this month that include dying in childbirth, but both of them were excellent.

Warren is going to start charging a membership fee. per attendee. no more cheap dates.

It's still probably cheaper than paying for these silly things, but I always wondered how Warren was getting anything out of giving people free movies...

yeah, me too. but it's going to be super-cheap anyway; $15 for a year, which less than two movies and the bus to the theater. plus when you sign up o the website you get automatic confirmation that you're on the list. there was somebody from the P-I taking pictures of the line, featuring Warren- i guess he's goin to be in an article soon.
