The Truth-o-Meter site was the first I heard of a banned book list – the only reports I had seen were that she asked the librarian about how to get books banned, not that she actually presented a list.
There's more than enough to say about Palin that should rule her out from being VP without bringing in phony stuff. The Desperate Housewives thing sounded too juicy to be true right from the start, but I fell for the bikini-and-gun picture until debunking reports started turning up all over.
