we watched the Simpsons last night. and i realized that i had watched the original broadcast of the first Treehouse of Horror...and this year's was #18. (i started out watching the shorts on The Tracey Ullman Show.)

it all started the night before, when i said that the last time i was interested in the NBA, the Detroit Pistons were good. to which sinthrex replied "with Isiah Thomas? that was 20 years ago".
i'm still having a hard time with something from 20 years ago being clear in my memory.

whereas i've just been watching my spankin' new Twin Peaks DVDs, and trying to avoid remembering that the series is something like 18 years old...
