Simon Pegg is my lost other brother, and i adore him. but i'm wondering here, if Star Trek is being rebooted with Academy-fresh crewmembers, shouldn't they be casting someone who is 26 instead of a worn 36? (or maybe an actual Scot? yes, i know Doohan-rest-his-soul was Canadian.)

I've only ever seen him in Shaun of the Dead, so maybe I'm typecasting here... but Simon as Scotty? Ack, no. I can't picture him as any Star Trek character, really.

I like him but I heard that they might have been looking at the doctor from Stargate Atlantis. I think he would be a bit better. But I do love Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz!
