ironymaidenthe upgrades were wildly successful and C has all his music on the iPod; the transfer of 1.5GB via Firewire felt like it took 2 seconds, especially after the incredibly painful 100MB zip backup of the files before the brain wipes.
so he keeps showing me all day the delightful juxtapositions of random shuffle - my favorite being Frankie Goes to Hollywood's Relax beside a Joseph Campbell lecture on the chakras.
meanwhile, i have been booted from the network at work over and over and over and over and over. nothing solves it. i hate the damn Windows machine and i know it senses my resentment. for some reason the office has a statistically unlikely high percentage of left-handers and native mac users (not all are both, but we do have two of those as well) and i'm just trying to figure out how to convince my boss that a few G5s could really boost productivity...
