entered more books today. i'm learning things as i go: about ISBN versus UPC in mass market paperbacks, which publishers embraced automation first, how oddball some of my collection is. (1944 Ogden Nash paperback? nobody else has one. mine has been nibbled by a rodent, so it probably has no value to others anyway...) the toughest thing so far is that some books just don't show up as part of the amazon or library of congress db, like my 1972 Singer Sewing Book or a QPB omnibus edition of three Angela Carter novels. i'm tearing through most of what i have by barcode and then ISBN/LCC or title, but there's a growing pile of eventual manual entries, like the Nausicaa monthlies.

the UnSuggester is pretty hysterical. (a sample search: S is for Space by Ray Bradbury. it's quite accurate - i definitely didn't like/wasn't interested in the first 60+ books.)

Cool!

No matter which of my very different favorite titles I put into the Unsuggester, it tells me to stay away from the Shopaholic books. Guess that takes care of that.
