Giggles and such

our poor car died last night, while C was on the way home from Factoria, no less. he managed to get home safe, and then it was a mad dash to run a trip plan and catch the monorail to the bus to Giggles. he was upset about the car trip, i was trying to make sure we didn't dwell on it and miss our bus connections to arrive on time, and the protozit on my nose was showing no sign of abatement before our big photo shoot on the morrow. so, we were deep in drama all the way until the middle of the bus ride (my first on #66, which is a pretty great way to get to the U district). we had a nice time at the show (2 good comics, two not-so-good, one of whom was, alas, the headliner) and i finally got to give
spazzychic some Framboise Lambic. it was the first time i'd seen
msanborn in ages, lookin' radiant in red velvet and competing with ubergeek
morinon (CTY! represent, my brother!) for the attention of ms Amber.
frabjousdave got no respect for a special offering to the owner at the club, but i was pleased to see him in better spirits after the holiday break from work. everone bowed to our diet habit and we gorged on wings at Wing Dome until they closed. (why does seattle roll up the sidewalk by 11:30? in Millheim fucking PA of my teen years, population approximately 800, one of the two restaurants was open until 3am on weekends. if there was a demand there, surely there's one here. WTF.) but we got home in time to sleep before big photo thingy.

Date: 2003-12-15 12:18 am (UTC)I'd agree that the route 66 is a great route to downtown, but Seattle doesn't roll up the sidewalks at midnight. You just aren't going to the right dive restaurant's like Beth's (on 99) or 13 Coins or the De Luxe Bar & Grill or El Gaucho or Stellas on 9th. I'm sure there are more, I'm just a night owl and like to track these things…
