i went to Scarecrow for the first time last night. whoa. i just felt like seeing Spartacus. if i didn't know what i wanted, i'd still be there.

Mmm, Scarecrow. It's one of the main reasons the U-District is still fairly high on my relocation list.

Now get one of those DVD players we talked about, and suddenly the store is even bigger.

i think the U District is the place for you, even if it is infested with college students. Scarecrow, the most of the right kind of theaters, good bookstores, great bus service, the big Trader Joes...and while the rental market isn't as depressed there, there are lots of properties and the rents are relatively low. (although, if you wanted to move in down the street it would not be objectionable :)
i dunno that i need a new machine just yet- i could spend years going through all the things they have on VHS that i want to see.

Spartacus is still a pretty great movie.
