went to the market today. we go every week and get produce from the same stand. i love them. today they gave me half of a new crop orange. i never realized that they're sprayed with dye to make them bright orange; they're ready to eat even when they look green on the outside. these were mild without a trace of tartness. i wouldn't have them always, but i love oranges, and i've been thinking about them alot since the play. the ones on stage were startlingly orange...i know it was a combination of the filter on them and placing them on a turquoise table, but knowing why it works doesn't stop it from working.
C read me a transcript of our conversation about nazis running over jewish puppies. i wish i could remember just why we conjured up the image - i think it was to find something so horrible it was ludicrous. they're circumsized...they're wearing yarmulkes...yippulkes...they're yippish
we bought a $5 bouquet. tough to find one without stinky lilies this time of year, but we found one based on dahlias!
"Fucked by a dahlia." Tom Stoppard, i love you
