i remain behind on the siff blogging, but i have to point those who might have a weekday afternoon free to catch the second showing of The World According to Sesame Street. it follows the development of partner productions of Sesame Street in Bangladesh and Kosovo, with briefer views into other productions, including South Africa (featuring Kami, the orphaned HIV+ muppet.) it spurred hours of discussion with C about what constitutes a political agenda and the place of television in our lives. (and looking up Sesame Park and a chat about how we had no idea that Sesame Street was supposed to be in New York until we were older. and C didn't even see the film.)
