no, i don't think so (right hand). but it may be the edge of her other wing.

I think it's the edge of her bottom wing. Compare to panel 8.

Agreed. Also, she would be holding it by the back of the blade, as opposed to by the handle. While possible, that wouldn't make a lot of sense.
