blood in the halls
Jan. 6th, 2021 06:13 pmi've been very careful about metering my exposure to US politics in the last four years. i never ignored what was happening, i only restricted how and when i caught up - so that i could work and sleep and not grow an ulcer.
today i broke and turned on the news. no work got done this afternoon, and tonight i'll probably be listening to the Senate and House until they finish confirming Biden. there have been some pretty epic speeches so far and i'm not *sure*, but i think that the rest of the results challenges are going to not happen or fizzle. lots of congresspeople talking about how they have changed their speeches and changed their thinking. good job traitors, you've scared off your political support.
at least Twitter has finally gotten off their asses. perhaps if they had acted sooner no one would have been hurt or died today.
