The shakes

On Sunday we started looking at dogs. We didn't meet The One, and we were able to accept that. Two shelters, three dogs visited. Three more we would have liked but someone beat us.

There were moments when both of us teared up. But it was okay. And we can do it again, as many times as needed.

Adopting a young adult dog in this area is actually pretty competitive :/

Late today I saw a great listing. We can get there tomorrow afternoon. There are no holds without a visit. Fingers crossed, prayers sent. Terrified that someone else will take her before we get there. Shaky, so shaky.
