PAX and stuff
Aug. 27th, 2006 08:38 pmC worked the pirates' booth at PAX Saturday, so he scored me a pass and i came along. my interest in video games is pretty casual, so i did a lot of people watching and looking at demos rather than waiting in giant lines to do...everything else. they have totally outgrown Meydenbauer Center and i'll be more interested in going next year when it's in Seattle at the convention center. i had a Sponsor badge most of the day because i helped with booth setup and they were restricting the exhibition hall - i didn't get why until i ventured out and saw the metered entry line running all the way out of the building. it was pretty cool to flash the blue badge and pop in and out.
i had enough fun watching experts playing DDR that i decided to finally buy a dance pad for the PS2. i've started to play with it; right now that means that i look like i am drunk/have problems with my blood sugar/parkinson's/brain damage.
i also fell in love with the pile of sumo bags in the wifi lounge and ordered one.
