Dec. 22nd, 2005 10:17 ami am the crazy pigeon lady. there is a mutant pigeon that hangs out by my bus stop in the morning. Seattle is full of deviants; the population at Seattle Center includes several birds C and i dubbed poves or digeons, with pigeon markings in white and light greys and a layer of iridescence. (further research into pigeon varieties and pictures yielded this.) anyway, this one is a common dark grey "feral" pigeon with an uneven blotch of bright white feathers on its head. while waiting for the bus this morning i stalked it with the cameraphone, but couldn't get quite close enough. i need to either bring the real camera or some stale bread to get better results. people are funny - the other folks waiting for the bus were definitely curious about what i was doing, but they wouldn't ask.
a hot punk-rock kinda guy who got off the bus on 15th was wearing a black hoodie with a homemade white tree appliqued on the back.
as i walked down the hill to work there was a minivan with a stuffed grinch doll sticking out from under the hood, as if they had slammed it on him and smashed his head. i love this town.

Very resourceful.
