i'm resisting unpacking boxes and running errands, so i took a look at one year ago today, via LJ.

am i happier? am i sadder? am i more or less loved?

I'm still suffering bbq withdrawal since moving away from Pierce's apartment complex. Fortunately, he sent me a kung fu tea maker.

"Kung fu" as in expert, but he can tell you more about it. He's doing some part-time work for the guy who invented the device, which seems quite simple but which garnered him a patent.

Tea indeed: The Iron Goddess of Compassion, which is pretty fabulous. He's promised to send more, but I've a couple month's worth to tide me over until then, or when I find some good tea locally.

oh, i know the one - it has the holes in it that let the water drain at just the right speed. he sells them at Uwajimaya, and also at Floating Leaves, the fabulous teahouse in Ballard. it seems silly, i suppose, but i keep balking at the price.

i miss omelettes, myself. they're much harder to come by.

yes and no. last year the title was "less bitter" and this year it's become "more bitter." i have recently reduced the percentage, however.
i think perhaps the gives have matched or outstripped the takes, but transitions are a bitch.
