Date: 2005-09-02 06:21 am (UTC)I wish I could enjoy artificial sweeteners. I really do. But they all taste the same, and that taste is not good. Not sweet either, no matter what the package claims.

Date: 2005-09-02 06:59 am (UTC)the best sugar-free anything i've had are the DaVinci flavored syrups. they're definitely sweet and pretty amazing. i'm not sure there's a difference in a blind taste test.

Date: 2005-09-02 01:27 pm (UTC)But of late, I've been drinking flavored seltzers if I want the bubbles. No calories, no sodium, nothing artificial but the package. They're usually flavored with fruit essences (distilled alongside essential oils or actual fruit, and carrying the yummy along).
If you've begun shopping at the QFC, they have the Canada Dry version of same in a lot of tasty flavors. If you're a Safeway fan, Talking Rain is the one for you. Don't be fooled, though. there are similar products on the shelf with nasty Splenda, or some other inverted sugars.
But for yogurt, you're in the hole no matter what. And don't get me started on Ice cream. The surest way to make it suck is to leave out sugar and sweet cream.
mmmm, calories
