...if that was an attempt at doing some kind of redemption tour, he's totally fucked.

the author puts the facts out there, and his own words. including noting that he was dating 22 year olds who worked on his shows (probably one of their first real jobs) when he was 49. (to be clear, i am pretty chill about age differences and not into hard-and-fast rules for consenting adults. but dating someone young enough to be your child while you are also in a position of power over them? HELL NO.) he's constantly saying that others are liars, wrong, or crazy then making quarter-assed attempts to backpedal. or it's just so bonkers that at one point the interviewer just assumes he's joking:

I asked Whedon about his affairs on the set of Buffy ... “I feel fucking terrible about them,” he said. When I pressed him on why, he noted “it messes up the power dynamic,” but he didn’t expand on that thought. Instead, he quickly added that he had felt he “had” to sleep with them, that he was “powerless” to resist. I laughed. “I’m not actually joking,” he said.

I read the interview this afternoon. So many wtf moments there. He strikes me as emotionally tone-deaf to his impact on others or even to the general public. In separate articles, Ben Affleck and Jeremy Irons have also called work on the Justice League miserable, though neither singled Whedon out by name.

LOL I read that article i almost spit out my drink at the last paragraph. It was hard to read. I hope that all the people he hurt/marginalized/abused are doing okay.

The worst thing is that the interview was not terribly hard-hitting, but he still hanged himself. (Hung?) And then went on to say that Gal Gadot can't speak English very well.
