i can't really squee about this, but after the 2016 election i committed to donating to organizations that were working to counter immoral US policy. right now, the one to highlight is International Rescue Committee. i first learned about their resettlement services assistance when i saw This is Home at SIFF and IRC hosted a post-film reception with some of their local clients.

the US is pulling out of Afghanistan. a lot of Afghan people are trying to get out, and time is almost up.

Thank you for the links, such an important cause. Sadly, the number of displaced people is likely to keep growing so the work of such organisations won't be over yet.
