other than the fabulous costume and production design, the Loki tv show was pretty forgettable. i could have just watched the "Journey Into Mystery" episode and skipped the rest of the season.

change my mind.

Haha, I don't know that I could. There were little bits that were fun to have given that Loki was finally the main character in a story and free from Thor's constraints. But as a story, what was there didn't fill up 6 episodes which is pretty ridiculous. Given the setup and all the new characters, there should have been more substance to it.

yeah, I felt like there was a lot of filler, like they just didn't know what to do if he wasn't a foil. I know it can be done, I loved the Loki Agent of Asgard comics.

Yeah, it was beautiful to look at but I was not impressed by it as story.

I also think that Marvel shot themselves in the foot with releasing WandaVision first. Despite the way that show botched its conclusion, it set up unreasonable expectations for the others. F&tWS got around this by just clearly not being a show with that asked for analysis: racism bad! Sam good! (And even there, I think a closer viewing would lead me to conclude that the writing for Bucky is uneven at best.)

But this shows up especially in Loki, where the WV experience of saying "what is the next-level reading of this text?" just... fails. The show feels like fanfic written about a throw-away line in an episode of Doctor Who.
