my AO3 subscriptions have suddenly started updating at a rapid clip. okay, not the one i really want to finish up, but three different works that had been fallow for almost a year updated, two of them several times in the last month.

is there some challenge on?

Maybe -- there was the IFD lesser-known works challenge over at AO3, for example, but it might also have been a small holiday/weather bump from people with a little extra time?

Oh! Words can't capture the delicious thrill of that notification. There was one fic where it came two years later and it was totally worth it.

I definitely hit a manic peak around December after a solid year of not leaving the house and wrote a stupid amount of words for abandoned WIPs. I'm probably not alone.
