MY BIG MONITOR CAME! it took like, ten days for it to arrive which feels like an eternity when one is used to well-stocked retailers and Amazon Prime. it is now on an arm over the table and it feels wonderful. when i go back to the office it will upgrade the desk docking station.*





*i don't use the desk daily because a) i prefer the option to stand b) work computer won't recognize that monitor and i've never been able to figure out why and c) i hate to lock C out of gaming, which is what the setup is mostly for.

I've absolutely had televisions smaller than this monitor. We had a seven-inch with rabbit ears that got more use than the big set. It was nice and homey to cram in the kitchen and watch, say, The Other together and bake stuff. And the annual Ben-Hur is hilarious on a tiny screen, but I've seen it so many times that I'd listen to it and draw.

Plague Amazon's no-rush delivery on my grocery cart (arrives tomorrow I think) is quicker than Prime delivery, and they give me three dollars in digital credit, so it works for me. And with enforced distancing on public transport I don't have to fret about getting it on the bus when I go out to the grocery in Hell.
