two things for a quiet Sunday

we have sigur rós route one on the tv. it's a real-time drive around Iceland taken on the summer solstice a few years ago, accompanied by a long-form piece that was generated from sound "stems" from one of their songs.

a member of scans_daily designed a ridiculously huge crossword, which they are sharing for free. it's not my thing, but i thought crossword fans i know might be interested: ubercross

My goodness -- those are both amazeballs!

In my energetic youth (pre-computer!) I created double crostic puzzles. My family are Scrabble enthusiasts, so I was able to combine tiles from several sets to help in constructing them. They're a whole lot easier to make than an actually crossword.
