i am replete.

i stepped onto the bus to go up the hill to Ototo, and found a cheerful spazzychic on board with the Darth Vader Rolling Stone and a seat to share. butterflydrming and mimerki were waiting inside the restaurant, looking gorgeous. (i love it when the Frederick's order comes in.) mimerki had roses from her garden to share, and in short order i was sipping a saketini and listening to a good-natured discussion of who would get to sit next to me. (head of the table - ironymaiden for the masses!)

the edamame arrived, followed shortly by scarlettina, varina8, writersweekend, and irishninja. i had my first geoduck, as did scarlettina. it is my duty to introduce her to new molluscs. there were many and varied dishes, meaty and non, followed by desserts for the ladies. the strawberry "shortcakes" (not cake really, something fried) were shaped like fish, the green tea tiramisu was garnished with mint, and the chocolate calzone could have fed the entire table. and then there was ice cream.

the conversation flowed, despite the very low alcohol intake. girl kisses happened with no alcohol intake. usernames were exchanged. we purveyors of neurotica must stick together :)

plans were made for Tent City Clyde Hill. there were hugs all around and lots of offers for rides home and general goodness. more please. but maybe not until another paycheck.

My first geoduck, too. Tasty, as long as I don't think about it as a whole animal("it's not like it's tonguing you back").

as i said earlier, since a tongue isn't what i see, the tiny pieces may be worse...but tasty.

the latest Rolling Stone has Darth Vader on the cover and has several articles that are Vader-focused, including one by fanboy Kevin Smith. we never did get around to opening it.
