Jason Momoa is wet
Dec. 29th, 2018 09:36 pmAquaman was not great art, but it was great fun to watch and did not make me sad or angry. it's currently my second-favorite "DCEU" movie (after Wonder Woman, of course). it's big and bright and mostly...happy? like, Arthur has fun in the ocean and a loving relationship with his dad. and it's clear that the Aqua-broness we saw in Justice League* is very much about bravado.
the important thing is that i went to see Aquaman because i think Jason Momoa is beautiful and it was probably worth my time and ticket money to see him wet on the big screen. this movie did not disappoint.

that clip, right there, is how he's shot throughout the film - as (credit to
mimerki) an action heroine. coy looks over the shoulder, hair flips, loving pans over his body...hell, the Atlantean outfit has a codpiece.

i know a bunch of folks have already seen it and written about it but i was skipping entries trying to stay away from spoilers. link me your entries?
what did other folks think?
*haven't seen Justice League? don't. it's bad and a disservice to basically every character in it.

Date: 2018-12-31 04:15 pm (UTC)I agree with your assessment of Momoa's beauty, but I think I can appreciate it at 2/3rd life size. That is, is it a theater-required movie? (Last theater-required move for me was Dr Strange, because the SFX were the point.)
