Giraffe.

I love them and always seek them out at zoos. (I know they're not special at all since they breed so well in captivity, but their eyes, and their knees and their knobby horns. so cute!) my favorite giraffe memory is from a visit to the local zoo. a family had paid to feed the giraffes, and they were standing on a platform, holding out leaves of romaine. the giraffe was ignoring them and poking its head through a fence to get to the grass on the other side while the keeper tried to hold in their laughter.

I love them too and I do think they're special! Just look at that anatomy... and yes, they have lovely eyes with long lashes and I love their patterns too. I've seen them in the wild and that, too, was pretty damn special. Thank you for your giraffe memomy!

I have a very special talent for choosing the most expensive glasses frames from any given selection. they are always my favorite of the group, and usually turn out to be hand-carved in France or licked into shape by kittens only fed on toro or something.

kayak. my dream kayak is custom fiberglass from a company in Tacoma. http://www.nckayaks.com (it's a dream because not only are they relatively expensive, but also I don't have a way to store or transport a real sea kayak. BUT THEY COME IN TWO-TONE GLITTER.)
