Agents of SHIELD is the only currently-airing thing that i'm keeping up with. they continue to provide All The Fanservice this season, which is great since the show seems to still be "on the bubble" re: renewal. timeline-wise, they are syncing up with Infinity War. which means that if there is a next season they will be living out the aftermath of events in IW. this is still a big question mark in general - what happens in all the tv properties that come out before the next Avengers movie? will they all find some way to keep the action happening before IW even though the timelines have largely been in sync up to now? how willing is the studio to spoil a big plot point in the films? (they were totally fine with spoiling Winter Soldier and that was when AoS really started to cook.)
there really is a lot of Clone Wars comfort-watching happening. C and I had a good talk about Anakin shipping Obitine. there is a moment where if Kenobi had said something slightly different, Anakin would have opened up to him about Padme and the world could have been completely changed. (i'm sure someone has written this fic, but i'm too lazy to look for it right now. feel free to tell me about it, though.)
what did you recently finish?
Jane the Virgin's season ended, so i finally got caught up on Netflix. (Knitta D has been on me for weeks to finish because she knew i would want to talk about the ending.) i don't want to spoil stuff here, but the writing was excellent - they dropped so many hints and set everything up. they also let us think what were were going to think and go down the completely wrong track. kudos to Brooke Shields for her humor and generosity playing "River Fields" a delightful parody of herself and a cracking new foil for Rogelio. (Xo's storyline was great too, although it was pretty much the last thing that i wanted to see in my cheeseburger tv.) looking forward to hanging on the edge of my seat all through next season.
what will you consume next?
i have given up on catching up to The Flash and will just watch it on Netflix when the season ends.
mimerki recommends Black Lightning, and i still haven't started season 2 of Jessica Jones. i fell out of the Brooklyn 99 habit and need to get back on that. glad to know that NBC picked them up.
