ironymaidenwhat are you currently consuming?
Agents of SHIELD is probably the only currently-airing thing that i'm keeping up with. this season has been epic and they seriously do not care if non-fans are lost. we're calling back to characters and situations from season 1 with no handholding. i'm loving that, and i'm living with the way they're making me squirm by making smart people do horribly desperate things.
also, there seems to be a lot of Clone Wars comfort-watching in my future. that's fine.
what did you recently finish?
The Orville. it starts out trying too hard to be...a Seth McFarlane show? but when it settles down, it's straight-up Star Trek fic. it's not perfect by any means, but it's more satisfying for me as new Star Trek stories than anything since TNG. (with the caveat that i haven't seen Disco because in the US that's yet another streaming service to pay for and i don't care enough to pay or to pirate it.)
while not actually recent, we did see the finale of Star Wars Rebels. i have some quibbles, but it turned out better than i expected and it deserves rewatching. Disney really needs to get Dave Filoni influencing their live-action properties.
what will you consume next?
i am way behind on The Flash and Jane the Virgin. i still haven't tried Black Lightning, and based on word-of-mouth i feel like i should give Legends of Tomorrow another chance. my nephew (who turned me on to The Orville) says i should check out Krypton. anyone have an opinion?
