i've been listening to streaming NPR on iTunes at work. it's godly to hear the All Things Considered feed on EST with no station IDs or local news. everything is, of course, about Terri Schiavo and the losers who are wasting the time i pay for with my tax dollars. wherever you stand, i think we all can agree that if we really knew what Terri wanted this wouldn't be news.

please, my friends, make your wishes known in writing. empower the people of your choice (knowing that they may not be recognized by law) to make decisions for you when you are incapacitated. in Washington state making an Advanced Directive does not require an attorney, and there's even a handy PDF form. This site lists other states (don't know nuthin' bout no Canadian laws).

love yourself, love your partner, love your family, file the paperwork.

i meant to write a long long entry about my beautiful weekend, but after reading something like 300 posts, it's time for bed.

This is another reason I wish there were a good way to legally divorce my mother. Sinthrex can be trusted to try to make a decision I would find reasonable. My mother can be trusted to behave poorly. And I don't trust paperwork to keep her poor behavior from affecting me.
