maybe i'm amazed

ironymaidentoday brought a hard rain, East Coast style, fat soaking drops falling briefly but furiously. i walked right into it on the way out of work. it was subsiding as i crossed the Ballard bridge, and traffic was nearly stopped to observe the most vibrant rainbow i've ever seen. no pussy pastels would dare to put down in the shipyards - this was every bit as bright as a gay bar's neon beer signs.
there was a small dog in the coffee shop to kiss my hands as C led me home.
and then i came across a sandwichboard sign that i had to follow -- to Glazed and Amazed. (remember that paint your own pottery place in Poulsbo,![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
mimerki? it's like that, but in old Ballard.) they have teapots. if other souls in Western WA are interested, we should make a date to make stuff. there's everything from animals to Japanese-style dishes to coffee mugs to tiles to flowerpots. it takes five days to complete the firing, but i'm in the neighborhood most days, so it would be easy to pick up the stuff. or it would force us to all get together the next week and go to Hattie's Hat or something. March is out, but my dance card's not full in April...
C's taking me to some B&B on the peninsula for the weekend. i'm excited. anyplace you must take a ferry to get to has to be good :)
