thanks much. this is me testing out an IFTTT recipe for a link list post. it's not quite right yet...IFTTT uses a link shortener and that obfuscates the content so i still have to open the links to add descriptive text. more research required :)

Wow, thank you! I hadn't seen that and I'm going to pass it on to quilting friends too.

(LJ used to send notifications if someone used your username in a post. It doesn't any more. Not sure if DW does or not, I'm going to check that.)

ETA: Nope, nothing here. Do you know if there's a hack/mod for that? I loved that feature when it existed.

i thought the pleas for being apolitical were particularly disingenuous...or maybe they think that the 54 40 or fight block just has a weird name?

i haven't found a way to earburn on DW yet. i need to search through the suggestions comm and see if it has been discussed.

The Houston International quilt show always has some political themed quilts on display. There's completely the option to walk by. Quilting censorship! Sheesh.

There have been the "edgy" cross stitch and embroidery works too. Not usually my thing but I don't scream they shouldn't happen, even if I find them distasteful. I try to steer clear and hope they aren't shoved in my face. (That said, Steotch does hilarious work and they make me laugh.)
