ironymaidenno, i cannot really access LJ at work.
i can post via email, and i can receive comments.
i cannot see anything in the livejournal.com domain from the office, and all comment responses sent from here via email fail. this is why i rarely build threads of commentary. i also cannot have any IM software on my workstation or log into services like AIM.
i can joyfully read comments, follow any links that are outside LJ, and see email to my gmail account right away.
