DeVotchKa is opening for Gogol Bordello at Graceland Saturday November 6th. i'm off to Rudy's this afternoon to pick up tickets, i think. there are mp3s available at the DeVotchKa site and iTunes for the uninitiated. ten bucks for just this opener is totally worth it - although i hear that Gogol Bordello does an unbelievable (read elaborate, theatrical) live show and are the Eastern European answer to the Pogues. and who can resist the Pogues? not me, nor C.
there's also a show Sunday on Vashon . maybe a reason to try visiting again. but i can walk to Graceland.
