I stood outside and ended up being only about 25 feet from Obama as he did his "thanks for being here, even though you can't get inside" speech. People around me were screaming, crying - I truly believe we're witnessing a part of some amazing history.

Clinton had about 5,000 at her rally yesterday; Obama had something close to 20,000 today. :)

Totally cool. It would have been nice to know when the event would be before we scheduled a conflicting event on our side of the bridge.

But we met him in 2006; I wish I had started my journal back then so I could point back at what I would have written. He was amazing in the small room. I got a handshake and an autograph.

sorry, i haven't been at a computer long enough to follow up. it's a cruddy cel phone picture of the Obama rally at Key Arena. i was standing in an aisle, never did get a seat. the place was more packed than when we saw the Police.
