Oct. 11th, 2007 04:17 pmit's fall, my favorite.
i got a massage Tuesday night - there had been two cancellations just before i called, opening up a slot for me.
i got Alanna: The First Adventure out of the library, and read it yesterday afternoon while i was fighting a migraine. it's not great, but it is total book comfort food, and it was exactly what i needed...which is why i bought the next two books. read the second one last night. (they're YA novels with that giant print thing going on. it's as if publishers think all tweens and teens are visually impaired.) Abraxus Books is my new friend, and Secret Garden is fired. okay, Secret Garden has been fired for a long time for having the cruddiest genre selection ever, but i'm up to my third or fourth failed trip for YA/children's books - their specialty. when i go to a brick and mortar store i want it now. i can support another local business if i have to wait for an order to come in. Abraxus had the books i wanted on hand, and is curated by someone who keeps all of the Prydain Chronicles in stock.
it's Cupcake Harvest Festival until my birthday.
and it's still fall. i'm gonna take that and run with it.
