Starbucks pastries are now made with margarine and palm oil.

um, i guess vegans can rejoice. i only buy from Starbucks out of desperation, (who knew i wouldn't be able to find a semi-competent barista in San Francisco?) but this is completely disgusting. and freaking hypocritical - here's your trans-fat free muffin with your chock-full-of-natural-trans-fat latte. lessee...we don't grind the coffee fresh, we don't manually pull shots, and now we serve leaden pastry. ugh.

Gah! I HATE the food industry. The research consistently says "Foods that occur in nature are better for you than foods that don't." And yet they consistently fuck it up when they go to carry it out.
