catch of the day last night at Crow. black cod, baby bok choy, black rice. yummy, but not as good as the dessert combo of meyer lemon coconut tart and orange-cardamom creme brulee.
it's good. very nutty in flavor. and filling. this was so much food i left some on the plate. then again, that was after devouring half a giant serving of curried mussels and sopping up the jus with crusty bread.
i worship Crow. we used to live across the street, so we watched the space get remodeled and met the owners while they were working on it (C got a pre-opening tour). Craig has a sweet golden retriever, and we used to wave at them when we went by and chat at the coffee shop. it also meant that we ate there way more often than was good for our budget. Crow and Caffe Vita were the toughest part of moving to Ballard. we don't go back often enough. one of the great things about Crow is that it's inexpensive (by Seattle standards) for the quality and quantity of food. (buhrger seemed to dig it.) also, one of the owners is always there, often in the kitchen.
