tonight we may have clear enough skies in Seattle to see Comet McNaught in the west around sunset. after tomorrow it will only be visible in the southern hemisphere.

Sunset's at 4:40, in about 20 minutes. I'm off to Alki Point too see if I can spot it. Thanks for the reminder.

Found it, binocular'd it, watched it for about an hour before it sank below the horizon through sunset colors. Beautiful.

It's so cold here right now I'd probably break our telescope. Clear winter nights (when it's cold, but not this cold) are awesome for watching the stars.
