Is that a tree sweater?

It certainly would appear to be a tree sweater. That is a lot of free time. My question is: how did they get it on there unless they knit it around the tree?

Maybe there are buttons on the side we can't see. I hope they aren't wooden buttons, though. . . clothing cannibalism. . .

The coolest image ever, a set of needles and a sweater growing there for weeks, half an inch every night as someone creeps out in the wee hours.

I think the mystery knitter would use one of those oversized pin row-holding things, instead of leaving needles that might fall/get pulled out... unless it was a group project.

cable ties, with the ends neatly clipped off. after i sent that picture we pulled it up to get the slouches out, and i got one where you can see the Ballard Ave sign.

it is a signpost sweater, on Ballard Ave, by the guitar store.
